What is CNOC Outdoors?

Cnoc is an Irish name for "mountain," and it was on such a cnoc that Gilad Nachmani's trekking pole broke, which is why his company is named after it ;-)
After moving from England to Portland, Oregon in 2017, he set about developing outdoor gear (yes, including trekking poles).

CNOC Vecto

The first product, and now a standard among US thru-hikers, is the Vecto. It makes collecting, transporting, and filtering water much easier. Vectos are available in 2 and 3 L versions and with 28 or 42mm threads. This makes them compatible with all common hollow fiber filters (Katadyn Be Free 42mm, Sawyer and Platypus 28mm). The slide closure on the other side makes water collection simple. The quality is excellent, and the bags are much more durable than standard bags.

CNOC Vesica Collapsible Bottle

The Vesica is also compatible with common filters, and with a 1L volume, it fits into standard bottle holders / side pockets on trekking backpacks. When not in use, the bottle can be folded compactly. Like all Cnoc products, the plastic is free of harmful substances and food-safe. When filled, the bottle stands on its own (not a given).

CNOC Buc Food Bag

In the Buc Food Bag, you can mix your food on the go or "cold soak" it to save fuel or if you're traveling without a stove. The Buc is easy to rinse out.

Material:

The plastic used in all CNOC products is food-safe and free of harmful substances. It meets or exceeds all US / EU regulations. The products are durable and long-lasting. The bags can be patched on the go with Tenacious Tape, and screw caps and sliders are available as spare parts.

Sustainability:

As a certified "B Corp," CNOC meets the highest environmental and social standards. The goal is to develop long-lasting products and make disposable products on the trail (keyword: Smartwater bottles, Zip Lock bags, etc.) unnecessary. The packaging is made from recycled cardboard and kept as simple as necessary. The Cnoc / Minimal Gear team is also very committed in other ways; just check out their website: https://cnocoutdoors.com/
