RAB -The Mountain People-

RAB History

When Rab Carrington started sewing sleeping bags and down jackets in his Sheffield apartment in 1981, he probably never imagined how quickly the demand for them would grow. He gained the knowledge after a climbing expedition in Patagonia. Rab, together with Lowe Alpine, is now part of the Equip Group.

RAB Sleeping Bags

High-quality down fillings and elaborate shell constructions characterize Rab sleeping bags. The sleeping bags in the chrispacks range use RDS certified goose down, with a minimum fill power of 800 (Mythic even 900 FP) and a 90:10 blend ratio. This is the highest quality filling used in sleeping bags. The sleeping bag shells are filled at Rab in England, which ensures consistent quality at all times.
The shells made of Pertex Quantum, or Atmos 7D for the Mythic, are also state-of-the-art, with sophisticated baffle constructions for maximum down loft, thermal collars, snag-free zippers, etc...
This means you get a sleeping bag with a long lifespan, which keeps you maximally warm and can be compressed very small.
PS: We had Neutrino 400 sleeping bags with us on the PCT in 2017....
New for 2022: Neutrino in "Wide" version: Great for side sleepers, or if you simply need more space. The Mythic series has been revised again, and with the Mythic Ultra series, Rab once again shows what is possible in the sleeping bag sector (currently not available).

RAB Clothing

Rab also offers high-quality clothing; we have selected some UL highlights from the large range; a highlight is, for example, the Phantom Pullover, an 85g lightweight, waterproof Pertex anorak, or the Alpha Flash, a Polartec Alpha fleece jacket, a great midlayer for thru-hikers and mountaineers...and much more.

More Rab:

Whether silk liner, emergency bivy bag, tarps and much more. There is a lot to discover. Unfortunately, due to supply chain difficulties, some items will be available later.
