Sixmoon Designs -go wild, live young-

History:

SMD was founded in 2002 by Ron "Fallingwater" Moak. Ron had already been on the AT in 1977 and has been building his own gear since that trip. Since the company's founding, Sixmoon Designs has developed simple but super functional products for thru-hikers, long-distance hikers, bikepackers, and anyone who really wants to reduce their pack weight. Despite their very light weight, the tents offer excellent weather protection.

Products:

Gatewood Cape

A classic from Sixmoon is the Gatewood Cape (310g), a poncho that can be set up as a 1-person tarp. With the optional Serenity inner tent (312g), you get a comfortable, double-walled one-person tent. If you're traveling alone and looking for a truly ultralight solution, then the Gatewood Cape is for you! (recommended height up to approx. 185cm)

Lunar Solo

The Sixmoon Designs Lunar Solo is SMD's best-selling tent and one of the best one-person tents for long-distance hikers. The Lunar Solo is a single-wall tent with excellent ventilation. This makes it super lightweight (740g without accessories) and gives it an extremely small pack size. Despite this, you don't feel cramped in this tent. The Lunar Solo has also won numerous awards...

Deschutes

The Deschutes can be used individually as a tarp or together with the Serenity inner tent. This gives you maximum flexibility: just a tarp, just an inner tent, or both... (680g tarp and inner tent)

Skyscape Trekker

The Skyscape is our recommendation if you're tall and looking for a lightweight tent with 2 entrances. The Skyscape is truly huge with an inner tent length of 260cm and can be excellently ventilated with its two entrances (790g). It requires 2 poles or trekking poles.

Haven

The 2-person tent from Sixmoon. The Haven can also be used as a tarp only, inner tent only, or with both. As a bundle, it's very light at under a kilo and has a tiny pack size.
There are also carbon trekking poles, matching Tyvek groundsheets, tent pegs, and much more.
Setting it up is actually very simple, but a bit different from what you're used to with a pole tent. Since the tents should be impregnated with Gear Aid Seam Grip + SIL anyway, it's best to do this calmly before your trip.

Conclusion:

Ultralight, proven tents with convincing features and an excellent price-performance ratio!
