Description

Alpine terrain is harsh and inhospitable; it is windy, barren, and beautiful. The elements here are merciless, and you need protection from snow, rain, and wind. The Alpine Hardshell is exactly that. It is a shell that protects you on your way to the summit.
The indestructible Alpine Hardshell jacket is made from technical Dermizax PU (polyurethane). This means that your jacket is waterproof. At the same time, it is more breathable than other membranes under many conditions. You'll find pockets exactly where you need them. There are zippers under the arms so that if you get too sweaty, you have the best possible ventilation. The seams are welded, and the zippers, like the fabric, are extremely durable and waterproof. The jacket is reinforced at all critical points and thus resistant to abrasion, so neither your backpack, your ice axe, nor the rope over your shoulder will damage your jacket.
  • On the left chest, you will find a waterproof external pocket with a waterproof zipper.

  • Under the arms are two-way opening zippers for ventilation.

  • Two high-set external pockets ensure you have access to all important items. The pockets are positioned so that you can still access them even when wearing a climbing harness over them.

  • The main zipper can be opened from top and bottom for optimal access to your mid-layer.

  • A drawstring at the bottom hem allows you to adjust the jacket to fit your body.

  • The hood can be pulled over a climbing or ski helmet and maintains its shape at the front with reinforcement.

  • When you don't need the hood, it can simply be rolled up, staying out of the way and not bothering you.

  • Of course, the cuffs on the sleeves are adjustable with Velcro.
