Bike-packing is a trend, that's a fact. Bike tours are becoming more enjoyable and easier. For a weekend adventure trip or minimalist bike tours, you no longer load up a heavy touring bike with panniers, but instead hop on your beloved gravel or mountain bike. In just a few minutes, your luggage is stowed in a handlebar roll and the saddlebag, affectionately known as a "ass rocket". So far so good.

But before you can experience the freedom on two wheels, packed for a minimalist camping trip, even experienced bikepackers face their first challenge. How do you get the handlebar roll, compressed like a homemade liver sausage, especially on a gravel bike or road bike, between the curved handlebar ends without pinching the cables or blocking the brake and gear levers? While fumbling and cursing to get the straps and plastic spacers into the correct position on the handlebars, doubts arise as to whether you can actually transport the material, already reduced to the bare essentials, in the handlebar bag. The realization that the minimalist compressed travel essentials in the handlebar roll need to be redistributed on the bike is unavoidable for the travel-loving bikepacker.

Joyfully, and sniffing the freedom, you have now embarked on your journey. The next surprise follows. If the route becomes bumpy, the gravel path rougher, and the trail less flowing, the handlebar roll begins to wobble and rattle on the handlebars, like a dancer in a trance at a techno party. The straps regularly need to be tightened and the handlebar roll repositioned. In fact, an uncontrolled flying handlebar roll can quickly become a safety hazard.

To bring peace to the handlebars, expand storage space, and above all, create flexible space for more accessories, Radl Rasti has devised a simple, practical solution for bikepackers - The Packblech.
