BD Couloir

The Black Diamond Couloir is a highly compressible, full-featured climbing harness that can be packed down to the size of an orange, easily fitting in your backpack or jacket pocket. It is ideal for steep snow couloirs, short rappels, and crevasse-ridden terrain. The Couloir has been redesigned with breathable, low-profile, varying-width Dynex monofilament webbing, which is ultra-light and durable. The easily adjustable harness features a speed buckle at the waist and leg loops that allow for easy on and off with skis or crampons. The Couloir also features our patented Infinity Loop for belaying. It is durable, low-profile, and prevents the annoying shifting of the belay loop when the seam gets caught. Four Ice Clipper slots with an integrated ice screw attachment on each leg loop prevent gear clanking during long approaches or glacier crossings. Two webbing gear loops secure extra carabiners and other equipment.
