BD Icon 700

The Black Diamond Icon700, with its 700 lumens, is BD's brightest headlamp model and is ideally suited for all mountain activities that require particularly bright light and long-range visibility. Operation has also been improved with a second switch to make lens mode selection easier. The revised optical efficiency not only provides brighter light and more luminosity, but now includes a three-LED, six-setting battery power meter to track battery life. The lamp, which is waterproof even when fully submerged up to 1 meter, is equipped with a night vision mode (red, green, and blue) for versatile use. The detachable battery compartment can be easily stored in a jacket pocket in cold temperatures to preserve battery life, as the cable is long enough for this purpose. The Icon700's AA batteries can be easily replaced with the Icon Rechargeable Battery Pack (sold separately). The programmable memory mode saves the desired brightness setting for the next power-on, while the brightness itself can be adjusted in an instant with PowerTap technology.
