The jacket immediately catches the eye with a slanted central bone zipper with two opposing sliders and a high collar, which covers the face, including the nose, to prevent the ingress of wind, rain or snow. The inside of the collar is lined with a comfortable layer of material that prevents beard hairs from entering the membrane and increases comfort when putting it on. The collar is equipped with ventilation openings that facilitate breathing when it is fully buttoned.
The outdoor jacket has a large, well-designed hood with three-way adjustment, which can be pulled over the helmet. The hood also serves to pack the jacket into a backpack.
Long ventilation holes on the sides are easily accessible through the backpack straps and allow access to the pockets of the inner layers.
The combination of a stronger fabric in all stressed areas (shoulders, sleeves, hood and back) and a thinner fabric in less stressed areas results in a tuned construction in terms of durability, extreme breathability and weight.
The men's Guide jacket has a sophisticated pocket system. There is a large bellows pocket on the front for gloves, belt or glasses, an inside zip pocket for valuables and an additional pocket on the sleeve with a Recco® signal reflector.
The reinforced, extended back with elastic waistband ensures that the sports jacket fits snugly to the body and does not restrict freedom of movement. The adjustment of the lower circumference of the men's jacket also contributes to this.
The sleeve circumference adjustment with large Velcro fastener and elastic at the bottom of the sleeve allows easy putting on of gloves.
